During the registration of passengers and baggage, passenger must present for weighing the entire baggage intended for carriage.

Aircraft passenger is entitled to carry his Luggage within the established standard at no extra cost (the normal free baggage allowance).

Norms of free baggage allowance, including items from the passenger, are set by the carrier (airline) depending on aircraft type and may not be less than ten kilograms per passenger.

Passenger is not recommended to put into his registered baggage fragile or perishable items, banknotes, jewelry, precious metals, securities and other valuables, business documents, keys and other similar items.

The weight of one piece of checked baggage must not exceed fifty pounds. Otherwise, it should be executed as cargo through the cargo warehouse.

Norm of free baggage allowance does not apply to:

the Luggage carrier above the applicable free baggage allowance for baggage (excess baggage);

Luggage, the dimensions of one Packed piece exceeds two hundred and three centimeters in the sum of three dimensions (oversized baggage);

Luggage, weight odnogolosy exceeding thirty-two kg (heavy baggage).

Excess, oversized and heavy baggage is accepted for carriage only if the aircraft spare capacity and subject to payment by the passenger for transportation of such baggage, except for cases when transportation of such baggage has been agreed with the carrier and paid for when booking.

Each piece of checked baggage shall have intact package ensuring its safekeeping during carriage and handling and precluding chance of harm to passengers, crew, third persons, damage the aircraft, baggage of other passengers or other property.

Baggage not meeting these requirements will not be accepted for transportation.

Baggage having external damages which do not affect its safety in carriage and handling and cannot cause harm to passengers, crew, third persons, damage the aircraft, baggage of other passengers or other property may be accepted for carriage as registered baggage with the carrier’s consent.

The carrier (the airline) has the right to set their own rules for air carriage. These rules must not contradict the General rules of air transportation and reduce the level of passenger service.

Hand Luggage

As carry-on baggage will be accepted things, the weight and the dimensions of which are established by the carrier and allow to place them safely in the aircraft cabin.

Excess of the free baggage allowance and at no charge, the passenger may carry the following items if they are with the passenger and are not enclosed in your baggage:

handbag or briefcase;

the paper folder;

umbrella;

cane;

a bouquet of flowers;

outerwear;

printed matter for reading in flight;

baby food for the child during the flight;

the cellular phone;

The camera;

video camera;

portable computer;

the suit in the garment bag;

cradle when transporting the child;

crutches, stretcher or wheelchair for passengers with limited mobility.

These things are not provided for weighing, shall not be subject to registration and not marked with tags.

Pets (birds) may be carried in the aircraft cabin with the consent of the carrier (airlines).

For the carriage of Pets (birds) the passenger must submit the documents stipulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation and when departing for the border of the Russian Federation in international treaties and legislation of the country, on territory, from territory or through which territory transportation is carried out. Pets (birds) in air transportation, should be placed in a sturdy container (cage), allowing convenience in transportation, with access of air and reliable lock (lock). The bottom of the container (cage) must be dense, waterproof and covered with absorbent material. The container (cage) must exclude spillage of the absorbent material. Bird cage should be covered with thick lightproof fabric.

Weight room animal (birds), the weight of the container (cage) and food intended for animal feeding (birds) is not included in the free baggage allowance and is paid by the passenger in accordance with the tariff established by the carrier.

A guide dog accompanying a passenger deprived of eyesight, be carried free of charge in excess of the free baggage allowance. Carried with the agreement of the carrier and upon presentation of a document confirming the special training of the dog. The guide dog must have a collar and muzzle and be tied to a chair at the feet of the passenger it accompanies.
